The media is reporting that Barak Obama is in trouble for speaking the truth. But the reality is the Clinton campaign is twisting his comments and taking them out of context and creating a controversy where there is none. What else can we expect from a desperate, losing campaign.
Once again our wonderful, corporate-owned media is ignoring the major story of the year - George Bush confesses to approving torture, a war crime. Oh, you missed it? Not surprising. What's the top story this weekend? Barak Obama and his "bitter" remark. Forget criminal activity at the highest level, the media is going to take Obama's words out of context in hopes of helping Hillary Clinton keeps her failing campaign alive.
In a recent editorial, The New York Times points out what many of us have known since George Bush stole his way back into another term in 2004 - he will leave his mess in Iraq for others to clean up. This should surprise no one. In his entire life he has never taken responsibility for anything, so why should any of us expect any other behavior on his part?
Jimmy Carter makes a lot of sense in explaining his reasons for meeting with an official from the Palestinian group Hamas. But in a bit of shameful headline writing, Yahoo News claims Carter was defending his visit. Read the article. He was not the least defensive, he merely explained in level-headed, logical terms.
Biodegradeable plastic bags are not what you think. Sure, they degrade, but they also leave harmful chemicals in the environment and food chain.
Here are a few more reactions to the 'bitter' Obama remarks.
Alberto Gonzales, former attorney general, is paying the price for his blind loyalty to George W. Bush. No one wants to hire him. And for good reason. He is not the sharpest legal mind by any stretch of the imagination and his kowtowing to the worst president in American history has left him wide open to legal troubles of his own. Or he would be if anyone in Congress had the stones. Alas, they don't, and Gonzo, like the other criminals of the Bush administration, will never face the consequences.
Peace, My Children, and Keep on Thumpin’.
