Question of the Day: Are you an early morning lover, too?
David Broder, resident right-wing columnist at The Washington Post, is dissing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over her list of accomplishments. He tells her to "get real" because their approval rating is below that of the Republicans as they were being voted out. What Broder fails to mention is that many voters went with the Democrats because of the Iraq war and, to a lesser extent, to impeach the worst president in American history. Peolosi and the rest of her leadership team took impeachment off the table and gave George Bush everything he wanted for this Imperial Oil War in Iraq. This is why the approval rating is down, Mr. Broder.
The list of scandals in which the Bush administration is embroiled just keeps growing. The total is nearly up to 300 and ranges from the U.S. attorney firings about which everyone knows, to the lesser known nomination of James Holsinger, a man who believes homosexuality goes against his god's teachings, as Surgeon General.
Columnist Robert Novak is so scared of the evangelical monster the Republican party helped to create over the past 20 years personified by Mike Huckabee that he is attempting to resurrect John McCain, all the while burying the campaign of Mitt Romney. Gee, these Republicans are acting so much like Democrats that it's scary.
