New rules by the Bush administration make it harder of states to expand coverage of the Children's Health Insurance Program. Like everything else, the administration seeks to protect corporations' profits ahead of the health and well being of U.S. citizens.
Merck's strategy of taking to trial every Vioxx wrongful death suit against the company is paying off for them. So far, the have paid nothing in the cases they have lost, and it will be at least three more years before anyone sees a dime out of them.
