Question of the Day: Where ya been?
The destruction of America will be the real legacy of the George W. Bush administration as illustrated by Rahm Emanuel's review of the State of the Union addresses given over the years by the worst president in U.S. history. The slide Emanuel talks about will take years to undo, if, in fact, this country will ever recover. Historian may well look back on this Bush presidency as the beginning of the end of America.
George W. Bush continues his assault on the health of Americans with his threat to veto a bill designed to improve the lot of Native Americans. As were his objections to the S-CHIP program, in which he denied millions of children health insurance coverage, the Bush administration cites ideological grounds for opposition to bi-partisan bill. Bush seems to want children and natives on a special health care plan which should be called "Get Sick and Die."
CBS News, via Sixty Minutes and news reader Scott Pelley, continues to spread historical lies first brought to us by George W. Bush on why this country began the illegal war against Iraq. We cannot let the corporate media help the criminals in their attempt to rewrite history. Make a stand. Spread the truth.
Any doubt that this country is in a recession can be laid to rest by looking at the ads coming out of Madison Avenue. Smaller, lower-cost sandwiches, cheaper Starbucks coffee, automotive ads featuring cost savings are just a few of the signs.
