TELL THE WORLD WHAT YOU THINK

Welcome to Ravel Babel.

Question of the Day: Was it only a fantasy, or did we slip into one of the alternate universes?

Chris Matthews, who has made no secret of his hatred of Hillary Clinton, offered a sort of apology for his latest remarks after a goundswell of outrage over his remarks. We question the wisdom of MSNBC for allowing this known misogynist to keep his place on the airwaves. We also have to wonder why any company would want their name associated with his by advertising on his program. Personally, we go out of our way to not watch, and suggest others may also want to change the channel whenever he comes on.

David Michael Green, writing at The Regressive Antidote, has a series of excellent questions for all presidential candidates. These are questions that the media should be asking, but, hey, they don't want to get on the wrong site of their corporate masters now, do they? Why, if they started asking the hard questions the American people just might have the right kind of information to elect the best candidate. We can't have that now, can we?

Mike Huckabee, erstwhile preacher man and presidential wannabe, has earned his second GOP Hypocrite of the Week award from BuzzFlash. He garnered his first honor just a few short weeks ago. We already know Huckabee is not fit to be president and his words and actions just keep reminding us of that. But the big question is whether Corporate Media will continue to let him slip past their radar. Oh, what are we saying? That radar has been inoperative since December 2000.

Rep. Henry Waxman continues his quixotic quest to nail the Bush White House over missing emails that could prove illegal activities by members of the administration. One would think that by now he would have learned that very few Americans are interested in light being cast on the worst presidency in American history. But we do admire his tenacity. Let's just hope he doesn't abandon his mission a year from now when the Bushies leave office.
