TELL THE WORLD WHAT YOU THINK

Welcome to Ravel Babel.

Comment of the Day: There is no better way to begin the day then spending time with you.

Hale Stewart, also know as Bonddad, writing at The Huffington Post, uses charts and graphs to illustrate just how disastrous Ronald Reagan's policies were to the fiscal health of this country. While we have always maintained Reagan was the best "acting" president in the most disparaging way, we would never stoop to call Ronnie an asshole. However, in context of what Bonddad wrote, we can't argue with his assessment.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is still dead set against impeachment hearings for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, his handler. She says such proceedings would be divisive. Is she freaking kidding? How can the situation become more divisive than it already is? The American people deserve to know the truth behind Junior Boy's presidency. We deserve to know how and why he lied us into war. We need to know the truth behind Cheney's secret energy planning. We need to hold these criminals responsible for the rape and pillage of the National Treasury and the Constitution. Pelosi's continual opposition to the citizenry learning the truth calls her motives into question. But then again, maybe she thinks we can't handle the truth. Maybe it really is much worse than we think.

Corporations, over the past 100 years or so, have been granted many of the rights of individuals, without the corresponding responsibility. When a corporation knowingly breaks the law, individual corporate officers may be held accountable, but the corporation suffers so consequence. Today, corporations control our government, our media, our food supply, our entire lives. Is it too late for people to take back control of their lives. Probably. Are we being pessimistic? No, just realistic. The average person in this country could care less because they are unaware of the problem. Their ignorance is fostered by - you guessed it - the corporations. Jonathan, where are you?
