Andrew Sullivan is now claiming the infamous CIA torture tape indicates war crimes by President Bush. Pretty heady stuff from Sullivan who spent many years defending Bush and the invasion of Iraq. When the war started becoming more and more unpopular, Sullivan began changing his stripes and pretended to have been against the war all along. Sorry, Andy, but many of us still remember and we don't forget the enablers of the Worst President in U.S. History.

The Bush Administration just can't seem to help themselves from depriving those most in need. From denying insurance to those who have none to now eliminating funding to schools for providing needed services. Whatever happened to the "compassionate conservative?" Oh, yeah. You only get the compassion if you don't need it. Our bad.

Former Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney is seeking the Green Party nomination for president and Jeffry Scott of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution asks why. Come on Scottie, why does anyone run for president? They have a message they want to share. You seem to be upset because her campaign refuses to talk to you or any of the other "so-called mainstream media." Perhaps not the smartest thing to do, but it does hurt your feelings, doesn't it?

There is a sure-fire way to cut down on the number of kids smoking marijuana. Regulate it like tobacco. It's way past time to bring our draconian, out-dated laws against pot into the 21st Century. But don't hold your breath waiting for anyone in the federal government to have the stones to even bring it up.
