Iowa remains a horse race to the wire for Democrats vying for the presidential nomination. The latest poll shows John Edwards with a slight lead over Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama. You know what? It doesn't matter who the Democrats run. The Republicans are in such disarray that George McGovern could win. Well, maybe not, but the only thing to stop the Democrats from taking the White House are the Democrats in the Senate. They may work against their own party just so they can keep rolling over and getting their bellies rubbed by the Republicans.
A poll by MSNBC/McClatchy shows the Democratic race remains a virtual three-way tie between John Edwards, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Where Edwards previously had lagged slightly behind Clinton and Obama, the poll showed him at 24 percent, compared with Clinton at 23 percent and Obama at 22 percent.
While that difference is within the poll's margin of error, it could indicate late momentum for the former North Carolina senator and 2004 Democratic presidential running mate.
