Lot's of stupid things are said in and around Washington, DC, but John Murtha's comment about the upcoming September discussion of the Iraq war has to be the most inane.
"This is big time. Then you get to September, this is history. This is when we're going to have a real confrontation with the president trying to work things out."
Everything done in Washington is history, Mr. Murtha, along with everything that is not done.
Like not standing up to the psycho in the White House. Like doing nothing while American troops continue to be killed and maimed.
It's way past time for Congress to pull it's head out and do its freaking job.
