George Bush flew to Australia directly from a stage photo-op at a heavily fortified American military base in Iraq and promptly told the deputy prime minister the US is "kicking ass" in what was once known as The Cradle of Civilization. We've known for years this president is in his own little world. What we didn't know for sure was how far away from reality Bush World really is.
This was obviously apparent to Bush, who arrived in Australia in a chipper mood.
"We're kicking ass," he told Mark Vaile on the tarmac after the Deputy Prime Minister inquired politely of the President's stopover in Iraq en route to Sydney.
Yes, the current president is a crude bore and he proves it nearly every time he opens his mouth.
But what should concern all Americans is this tidbit from the article in the Sydney Morning Herald:
His defiance on Iraq is growing. He implied that those who argued against the war in the first place had no role in the current debate.
Excuse us, Mr. President, but those of us who were against the war from the get go, those who saw through your lies and deceptions, are the ones deserving the seat of honor in every debate about your immoral, illegal war.
