Everyone has an opinion, but not all have a place to express their views. Until now. At RavelBabel we bring in feeds of news and opinions from major media sources around the world and allow you to add your thoughts.

Why RavelBabel?

The dictionary defines ravel as "to undo the intricacies of" and babel is defined as "a confusion of sounds or voices." So, our mission at RavelBabel is to undo the confusion of the different "voices" on opinions from around the world.

How are we going to do this?

Two ways. First, by allowing you to add your unique experiences to the effort of clarifying the messages presented through standard written comments. Secondly, and this is what sets us apart from other sites, by embedding your video comments along with the post.

What makes us different from other sites offering viewer comments?

Our major difference is that we allow you to add your video comments. Other sites that allow video uploading require you to register, and when you read their Terms of Service you'll see that they reserve the right to use you personal information for their own marketing and advertising purposes.

We think that's not right.

RavelBabel does not want your personal information! Other sites make you register to place comments, but we value your privacy and allow you to add your insight without giving up your email address or other personal information. You can even copyright your comment if you so desire. But, by uploading it to our site, you give us permission to use it.

Why 'The Donkey's Blog'?

Some say it's because of our slightly left-leaning opinions that lead them to believe we are members of the Democratic Party. While our thinking is progressive, we admit to no political affiliation.

Others like to think that we are jackasses. Probably because we say so on the index page.

We'll let you decide for yourself which is truer.

Who is your Webmaster?

The driving force behind RavelBabel and the head donkey of The Donkey's Blog is Jake Lowrey.

He has more than 30 years experience in the communications field, having served at various times as a news writer and editor, public relations and marketing director of a major hospital system, and media consultant. He is extremely opinionated and doesn't shy away from sharing his views at any time with anyone having the misfortune to cross his path.

To whom do we complain?

First, we suggest that you go to your local church, mosque or synagogue and seek guidance from God. If this fails, email Jake at webmaster@ravelbabel.com.
