Video Comments

If you can use ftp, you can upload your video comment to our site.

Here is the process:

1. Create your video and save it. Our preferred format is either .wmv or .swf and it must be no larger than 9 MBs.

2. Using your ftp client, upload it.

Note: Make sure to name the video with the title of the post you are commenting on and add your initials at the end. Example: US-worst-place-for-children-dac.wmv [dac are the initials of the commenter]. This way we will know exactly where to place it on the site. We ask for the initials to distinguish it from other video comments on the same post.

We will review the video and if it adheres to our guidelines posted below, we'll add it to the page. Turnaround time is no longer than 24 hours, Monday-Friday. Any video uploaded over the weekend will be reviewed the following Monday.

Guidelines for Video Comments

1. All comments must be about information contained in the post for which it is intended.
2. Abusive or obscene language or gestures will not be tolerated.
3. We are all about free speech; everyone has the right to express their own views. However, we do not tolerate hate speech containing slurs or the malicious use of stereotypes attacking or demeaning any particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or nationality.
4. While you are responsible for the content of your video comment, we reserve the right to refuse to post any comment we deem inappropriate.
